Joining Raw over a year ago in late 2022 has been a game-changer. The programming is the best I’ve seen – so well-structured and intentional. You’re not just getting stronger and fitter; you’re also learning new skills and nailing complex lifts.

The coaches here are incredible. They’re always in your corner, pushing you and giving extra time to help you improve.

But the standout for me is the community. Gyms can often be intimidating, but this place is absolutely the opposite. I’ve been part of a lot of communities, inside and outside the gym, but this one’s different. I’ve made friendships that go way beyond the workouts and the four walls of the gym. We have fun, support each other in chasing goals, and show up for each other in life.

Raw is way more than just a gym. I’m proud to call it my Whare!

I joined RAW in 2023 not long after moving to the Mount because I wanted to change up my training as well as meet new people and I couldn’t have chosen a better space to do this.

The programming at RAW is varied and inclusive, making it easy to stay motivated and I’ve seen huge progress both physically and mentally. I had never done CrossFit before joining but putting myself out of my comfort zone in such a supportive environment has allowed me to see huge improvements in my strength and fitness and I have also learnt so many new skills in both Olympic lifting and gymnastics that I once thought were impossible. All the coaches are extremely knowledgeable and their feedback is so valuable as they genuinely care about all member’s journeys, helping everyone reach their goals.

The community aspect of RAW is unmatched and I am proud to tell anyone I am apart of it. Every day I look forward to going as I know I will have fun, no matter what time I go as the vibes are always there. Being able to work alongside other athletes of all levels and backgrounds is so inspiring and pushes me to work to that next level.

I joined RAW Fitness early 2021, knowing no one and now a year and half on can’t imagine a life without it. What I’ve learnt inside the gym translates into many aspects of life outside of the gym and sets the foundation for good habits.

The programming offers diversity in different types of training/recovery and is inclusive of all levels of ability, injuries and ages. Scaled options are always available and similarly, if you’re wanting a push mentally or physically that option is always there.

RAW wouldn’t be what it is without the coaches and all that they do for us. The progress and success of members is a direct reflection of the coaches knowledge and passion for what they do.

RAW is a gym I’m really proud to be part of - getting up early in the morning becomes super easy when you get to train in such a supportive environment, surrounded by a community who double as family.

Raw for me isn’t just a place to train and lift weights. It’s a community, a family and the place where you’ll not only find the strongest and fittest but also the kindest and most humble.

As I Physio I’ve been to plenty of gyms and have taught movements myself, however, the coaching and programming we get at Raw is worlds above the standards I’ve known. The coaches are supportive, always happy to facilitate progress and treat you as part of the whanau.

I’ve never felt more inspired to look after my mental and physical health than when I go to the gym.

When I moved to the mount I was ready for a change in my training. I knew that RAW was exactly what I was looking for even after my first session. With the variation of strength and conditioning as well as cardio it created goals to work towards and sessions where you can mentally and physically push yourself. You also have coaches there to teach you the right technique who are incredibly motivating.

There is always a great vibe in the gym, no matter what time of the day you go. The community there is second to none and makes the gym experience there so much better. A big part of me staying consistant now is also just wanting to be around everyones energy. Everyone is so supportive and encouraging of you trying to better yourself whether that be perfecting a movement or hitting a PB.

The vibe of a gym is super important to me and the moment I walked into Raw I felt welcome. I’m a competitive weightlifter so the mix of strength and conditioning classes is perfect for me. But by far the best thing about training at Raw is the amazing supportive community that have become like family. It’s often the best hour of my day and I’m so grateful to have such a phenomenal place to train
